8 Miles, 3 Trains, 4 Stations – The Ultimate Folding Mobility Scooter Test
Share
Join @TheMedusaProjectThetford on an incredible real-world mobility scooter adventure as we put two folding T-Sport scooters to the test! Starting from a rural farm, travelling to the Naidex Exhibition at the NEC, and then making our way home using the UK rail network, this journey covers around 8 miles of genuine everyday travel.
Featuring the lightweight YL-985S Folding Mobility Scooter and the powerful SCOTE-48350 Three-Wheel Folding Scooter, we travel through multiple train stations, ride with three different train operators, and experience real-life accessibility across roads, stations, and public transport.
This is not a controlled laboratory test or a manufacturer claim. It's a real-world challenge designed to show what modern folding mobility scooters can achieve when used for everyday travel and adventure.
Whether you're considering a mobility scooter for yourself or a loved one, this video demonstrates how freedom, independence, and confidence can open up new possibilities.

Both scooters performed phenomenally but the Scote 48350 lasting three days and about 25 miles on a single charge was incredible!
We now know that the problem with the battery was an easy fix.
The socket had been pushed in and all we had to do was open it up with screwdriver 🪛 and reseat it – Simples, Yes!
