T-Sport YL-996 Takes on Gas Hill – One of Norfolk’s Steepest Climbs!

T-Sport YL-996 Takes on Gas Hill – One of Norfolk’s Steepest Climbs!

The T-Sport YL-996 has been put to a serious real-world test by Bob from The Medusa Project – taking on the famous Gas Hill in Norwich.

Gas Hill is considered by many to be one of the steepest hills in Norfolk, with an extremely demanding climb and gradients reportedly reaching around 20–22% in places. It is even home to the well-known Gas Hill Gasp cycle race.

Bob previously tackled Gas Hill successfully on our T-Sport X5 Autofold Mobility Scooter, so this time he decided to see how the YL-996 would perform on the same challenging route.

But getting to the top was only part of the adventure!

Bob has also discovered a rather interesting way back down, which he has appropriately named the “Cobbled Comedown” – a steep, cobbled descent that provides a completely different challenge for both scooter and rider.

It is always fantastic for us to see our mobility scooters being tested in genuine real-world conditions rather than simply on smooth showroom floors. Tests like this give a much better idea of what these compact scooters are actually capable of.

So, did the T-Sport YL-996 manage to conquer Gas Hill and how did it handle Bob's new Cobbled Comedown challenge?

Watch Bob's full video below to find out!

A huge thank you to Bob and The Medusa Project for another entertaining and challenging real-world test of a T-Sport mobility scooter.
