The 3 wheels allow it to be used at low speeds like a 4 wheeler, but like with a 2 wheel scooter it requires balance and care. If you make a turn at speed and don't balance like you would with a 2 wheel scooter then it will tip. It should not be used by someone that can not balance themselves.
